Well Testing

This should be a fun section for anyone who has a well. Were going to explain how you test your well for yield and take a sample. You cant beat that! The folks at Quinns would like anyone supplied by a water well, to know how it works and how to maintain a healthy water system. You may be tested on this at a later date. Lets meet Ma and Pa Sleepy. They have lived in the same house for who knows how long. Right after courting Ma and getting married, Pa borrowed some money, bought the house and moved in. Back then things were simple. It was a comfortable place with not much to take care of. Good thing too cause Pa was kind of lazy, so they never had a garden, landscaping or livestock to water. Once a day they did the dishes by hand and when it came to washing themselves, they always took a shower together once a week, (Ma and Pa really liked each other). Ma and Pa had a two sons, Izzy and Wazzy Sleepy. The kids didnt use much water either, except for the weekly bath, (they have limited bathing experience). All the years the Sleepy family lived in this house, they never used much water and always had plenty for their needs. The well was drilled before records were kept, but Pa never needed information on the well, it worked fine.

Ma and Pa Sleepy decided to sell out and move to Lost Wages, Nev., so they listed the property with Imma Gonner Reality. The listing agent Yur Ouddaluck had just gotten his Realtors license the week before. This was his first client and listing and he was confident the place would sell in no time. It was a sellers market and he knew what he was doing. Ma and Pa got excited and started packing their household items to move.

Just as he promised, Mr. Ouddaluck brought a young couple out to look at the Sleepy place. Ma and Pa fixed some ice tea for refreshment and waited for the folks to show up. The buyers, Nada and Gidda Clue and Yur Ouddaluck, showed up and the tour begins. Nada and Gidda loved the place, enjoyed the tour and the ice tea Ma and Pa provided. It was no surprise to Ma and Pa when they had a buy/sell agreement in their hands a few hours later, just waiting to be accepted. Gidda and Nada Clue really loved the place and offered full price. Ma and Pa even agreed to leave the curtains since the coffee company logo had not yet faded over the years, (a sign of good imported burlap).
